Mr. Covey

About Me

My name is Carson Covey, and I am the 7-12th grade vocal music teacher at Lennox Public Schools. My duties include teaching HS choir, JH choir, HS Music Appreciation, JH Music Appreciation, Class Piano, and Class Guitar.

Before teaching in Lennox, I worked as a staff accompanist at the University of South Dakota, and as a freelance piano teacher and accompanist during the 2022-2023 school year. Prior to my freelance career, I taught 6-8th grade Vocal Music at Sioux Falls Christian Schools for one year, and at Mountain Lake Public Schools in Mountain Lake, Minnesota for three years.

I recieved my Master's degree in Collaborative Piano from North Dakota State University in 2018, and my Bachelors of Music Education (Piano and Vocal) from South Dakota State University in 2016.

I am extremely excited to be teaching here in Lennox, and to be able to work with all of the great students in this growing district.
